We teamed up with Whitetail DNA's Alex Comstock, Kaleb, Luke, and Sam Soholt on their upcoming hunts in North Dakota. A great group of guys and a ton of shooters on camera, and were presented some challenges that tested them fully.
Getting Ready (PT.1)
The team headed down there earlier in August to get some cameras out, do a little tree searching and get a feel for the properties they are targeting.
Alex and the team will be hunting out of saddles for the first time this year,a lot of prep work, scouting, and hard work had been put into the hunt.
Opening Week (PT.2)
Opening day and opening week presented real challenges as huntes, cattle, and land being posted forced a rewrite of the script. With new strategies the team sought to get within bow range of a few bucks in velvet.
Velvet Buck Down and Finding a Giant (PT.3)
Alex Comstock is able to arrow the first buck of the season and the first buck of the NODAK Series! On the last day of the hunt, Sam has an encounter with an absolute giant!
