I previously have been using the Sumpter pack for the last 2 years. I wanted to give the Palisade a try because of the structure that it offers.
I film and having a pack with structure is a great benefit for me.
**PROS—-light weight, nice structuring with top and front access to main compartment. I like how it rides high on the back and won’t interfere with my saddle as i like to walk in wearing it. The pack has a great assortment of accessible pockets. Although it does not have a waist strap, I’ve made several hunts and scouting sessions with up to 3.5 Miles of steady walking . It took about 2.5 miles of walking with platform, sticks, and camera gear before it started to slightly dig into my shoulders.
**CONS— I wish the back of the pack had a ventilation channel for sweat issues.
Some top or bottom cinch straps would be a big upgrade or mole attachment loops.
On the opposite side of the pack from the water bottle holder a longer/deeper pocket would be nice.
Over all a great pack. I would recommend it.

Wore this on a 16 mile movement with 12000 feet of elevation change with about 20lbs in it. No hip belt and it felt great. Great for stand or saddle hunting
