The Wingman Platform

I am currently running the Trophyline covert pro 2.0 with 4 mini sticks and the mission platform with the platow pack. I just purchased the wingman last week after going back and forth with ideas. The mission platform is robust and good for all day sits but for some situations it was a tad bulky and slowed me up in the dark. So I grabbed the wingman to streamline my setup.Used it this evening for a short sit and my GOD it is a game changer. Cut my setup time in half! This platform is an absolute game changer!

Started saddle hunting and went straight to the one stick method. But what’s better than only having to carry one stick? Not having to also carry a platform. All you need is this, saddle and ropes. I did make a few modifications to mine to suit my needs. 5 stars.

The platform is very solid. It is a good size and the angled edge provides good comfortability. Some very minor complaints that would enhance the platform for one sticking are allowing for an easy conversion for a cam cleat. The strap is useable but tough for one sticking purposes, which is what this platform seems to be designed for. Additionally, the standoffs seem to rotate more than desired but is pretty minor. I have yet to have an issue of the platform being unstable/rotating/pulling from the tree but seeing the standoffs rotate can cause some slight hesitation. Definitely with a couple upgrades is a great option for one sticking.

At this time I have not yet hunted from my platform but have mounted it on some trees to try it out and it is very comfortable and holds securely to the tree with the attached strap. When it arrived the platform is not painted or coated which is fine but I couldn't really tell from video reviews so I was a little surprised. I asked about it and got a prompt response which was greatly appreciated. Everyone I have shown and had try out the Wingman has really enjoyed it. I can't wait to get out and start using it fully into next season.
